Maria Well, I am a chiaroscuro type. I must admit that light and shade and form are all I care about. Colour comes second, even though I like playing with the diferent effect each colour gives as it is confronted with darkness. So, my chiaroscuro paintings usually have some sort of uniform hue: a blue painting, a redish painting, a green painting and so on. I just hope light and shade and space work. Then colour plays a psychological role and can create this ambience instead of another. |
